Experience Overview
The Ngong Hills hike follows a trail that stretches across seven hills, with a combination of steady ascents and descents along open grassland terrain. The experience is defined by wide, unobstructed views and a sense of elevation that allows hikers to see both the Great Rift Valley and the Nairobi skyline.
The hike can be done as a round trip or as a full crossing from one end to the other, depending on time and preference. Due to the open nature of the terrain, early starts help avoid midday heat and afternoon crowds.
